Beechworth Swimming Pool Feasibility Study

The Project

Indigo Shire Council have engaged @leisure Planners to undertake a feasibility study and an assessment of options for the Beechworth swimming pool. The study will recommend a preferred site, and identify likely costs of options before commencing detailed design and the costing of ongoing operations.

The project will:

• Consult with user groups and the local community 
• Identify the nature of facilities and amenities to be included to best suit the market

• Prepare a concept plan and preliminary cost estimates for construction
• Propose a project schedule for construction
• Prepare a 10-year operational budget and make recommendations about management.

Project Update - April 2021

The Options report has been completed and presented to Council for their review. 

Project Update - March 2021

The Community Consultation Findings report has been completed while the Project Control Group have met and provided feedback on site locations and the proposed facility components. We are meeting to present at a Council briefing on the 6th of April. 

Project Update - February 2021

The Beechworth Swimming Pool survey has now closed. We'd like to thank the 220 people who responded and the collection of the results are now underway. We are still taking written submissions for the project via email, the comments page accessible via the link above and our facebook page.

We are currently continuing with the community engagement stage of the project which includes the community survey, that closes on Wednesday the 27th of January.  We are still taking written submissions for the project via email, the comments page and our facebook page so feel free to have your say by responding to one of the options provided. Currently, 193 surveys have been completed so far. Thank you to those who have completed one.
