Scope
This project required an assessment of the condition and capacity of existing sporting and recreation facilities, the future need for additional facilities along with the consideration of the sustainability of clubs in Newman, WA. The role to be played by Council in facility provision and future service delivery was also examined.
What we did
- Reviewed future demand for recreation facilities in Newman and determined capacity of current facilties
- Analysed current and additional space needs for all major recreational pursuits
- Examined the viability and sustainability of existing provider organisations / clubs
- Determined what infrastructure may need to be relocated
- Provided layout concepts for an agreed infrastructure and its location
- Calculated probable indicators of cost to provide and maintain facilities that were recommended
