Scope
This project analysed the implications of demographic characteristics on demand for swimming and netball and provided an assessment of the social and economic benefits of a regional aquatic and netball facility.
What we did
- Undertook extensive competitor analysis
- Analysed the current provision and distribution of swimming and netball facilities
- Assessed the demand for recreation facilities for the estimated future population
- Undertook a detailed literature review
- Carried out detailed consultation with key stakeholders, potential users, general community and Council staff
- Performed an existing facilities needs assessment, which identified any shortfall in facilities
- Provided in-depth recommendations relating to the design of the proposed facility
- Provided input into the master plan prepared by Etch Architects.
